Burqueño Black 2023

Schwarzbier
OG 12.7°P / IBU 33 / ABV 5.05 / G↓
Burqueño Black, a Schwarzbier with a nod to tradition and a touch of New Mexican spirit. This dark lager, inspired by the historical roots of Schwarzbiers, weaves a tale of rich malt complexity. A harmonious blend of 50% Munich and Pilsner malts provides a solid foundation, complemented by the subtle sweetness of Caramunich and the deep hues of Black Malt. This beer speaks of subtle honey and biscuit.
Adding a touch of domestic and modern flair, we incorporated a slightly more forward approach to hopping, enhancing the aroma and flavor. The hop trio of German Magnum, German Northern Brewer, and Tettnang imparts a balanced bitterness at 33 IBU’s, creating a well-rounded brew.
At 5.05% ABV, Burqueno Black pays homage to the global Schwarzbier tradition while subtly embracing the Southwest. Savor the layers of flavor in each sip, a testament to the meticulous craft behind this dark lager. Join us in raising a glass to the style that is Schwarzbier and the unique character of the 505.
Burqueño Black is a gluten-reduced true beer!
