Slack Tide Session IPA
OG 1.050 / IBU 75 / ABV 5.3
Slack Tide is our newest Session IPA featuring our newest hop variety: Dr. Rudi! Dr. Rudi hops hail from New Zealand and offer up a big, bold nose of orange peel, and pine which is definitely found in this hop-forward ale. Also featured are the classic Amarillo and Cascade which round out the hugely citrus, slightly resinous nose and flavor. The grain bill features our house pale malt, German Munich, crystal malt for color, and a dash of honey malt for an added complexity. As for the name? Slack tide is a period of tidal motion where, for a short period of time, no forces are acting on the ocean. Boy, doesn’t that sound relaxing… and if you haven’t noticed, our head brewer is slightly enamored by the sea. Cheers!
