Miller and Paredes Families Fundraiser

A tragic and fatal head-on collision on November 13th in Rio Rancho took the lives of four members of the Miller family and Francisco Paredes. Cisco had just started working at Turtle Mountain in Enchanted Hills, so this horrible incident has had a direct impact on our Turtle Mountain family.

As Captain Jacquelynn Reedy wrote on behalf of RRPD,

“The toll of this heartbreaking crash is immeasurable. The Miller family and Mr. Paredes’ loved ones are now faced with unimaginable grief and uncertainty as they navigate the aftermath of this life-altering event. Our entire community grieves alongside them, and we extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected. May we find strength in unity as we support the families in their time of need.”

The Rio Rancho community heeded this call with an amazing outpouring of support. We are so proud of our community and, in a continuing effort to help the families with medical expenses, funeral costs and other immediate needs, Turtle Mountain will be fundraising this weekend.

From Friday, November 22nd through Sunday, November 24th, order any of our top 3 selling pizzas (Chimayo, Shiprock, Adam Bomb) or any size Nambé Nachos, and we will donate $2 from every item sold directly to the families. Both locations will be participating and also accepting direct or “round-up” donations to help Rio Rancho cope with this tragedy.

Go-Fund-Me campaigns are also established for each of the families:
Miller Family GoFundMe
Paredes Family GoFundMe

If you can donate, please do. Let’s all help out our fellow Rio Ranchoans in this time of need and help them navigate this Holiday Season with a little less financial pressure.

Tue.Nov.26 UPDATE: Thanks to a generous donation from US Foods, we will also be offering desserts with 100% of proceeds going to this fundraising effort at Turtle Mountain North. With a minimum donation of $8, enjoy some cake. Red Velvet, Rainbow Sprinkle, or Carrot Cake available.

“Round-up” and Direct Donations will still be gratefully accepted at both locations throughout this week. Thank you Rio Rancho for your outpouring of support.
