Challenger Deep Black IPA

India Black Ales, colloquially known as Black IPAs, came into vogue a few years ago and maintain a strong fan base. It’s a fun challenge, producing a dark beer which doesn’t drink like a dark beer: minimized roast astringency, soft chocolate flavors without huge amounts of body, and highlighting a bold hop profile both in the nose and mouth. The result is Challenger Deep, named for the deepest part of the Marianas Trench. Challenger Deep boasts flavors of orange peel and citrus with a strong hop bitterness to finish.
