27 Years! From Nico’s Desk
27 years ago, back on Monday, March 22nd, 1999 at 11 am, a very naïve yet enthusiastic 29 year old aspiring brewpub owner welcomed Mayor John Jennings and the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce Red Coats to help him celebrate the opening of what had been his dream since he was 16 years old.
Turtle Mountain Brewing Company was born.
Having survived Y2K, the 2000 Dot-Com crash, the Great Recession of 2007-09, and most recently that pesky Coronavirus in 2020-2021, Turtle Mountain Brewing Company is gearing up to celebrate our 27th Anniversary on March 22nd, 2026!
The last time we put on our party hat was for the 25th back in 2024, so we are definitely overdue for a Brewmaster Dinner event.
Chef Chris Blanshine, Head Brewer David Medrano and BarChef Daniel Rolison have crafted up a delicious 5 course gustatory journey highlighted by a wood-fired lobster tail and jerk lamb porterhouse. Two courses are paired with Daniel’s craft cocktails made from the finest NM spirits, and the remaining three courses are paired with David’s house beers from our new brewery, including a special pineapple & mango infused cask of the TMBC 27th Anniversary Golden Pale Ale!
This special dinner is being held at 6 pm on Sunday, March 22nd at Turtle Mountain North in Enchanted Hills. Seating is limited, so reservations are a must. Turtle South will also have 27th Anniversary specials all day.
We hope all of you, our friends and family, can join us for the special evening, so that once again we can raise a glass together and celebrate 27 years of Rio Rancho’s Neighborhood Brewpub!
